Friends of Fairfield,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  We made it through a unique and challenging time as a community and campus, and I know all of us are excited about a new school year under more normal circumstances. 

The Fairfield Foundation

The Fairfield Foundation serves a unique purpose; this non-profit organization unites our school and community to supplement funding for special projects benefiting the school. While Fairfield Magnet strives to provide the highest level of education and resources to its students, public funds often fall short of providing for every need the school faces. That is where the Fairfield Foundation comes in! Our goal is to execute larger, long-term projects that exceed the school budget and PTA funds.

The Fairfield Foundation is committed to providing an outstanding experience for our students and families, and we aim to create a legacy for future students and families as well. Through a combination of community donations and corporate sponsorships, we are able to directly enrich the educational experience through new technology, infrastructure, and facility improvements.

Year One and Two: BIG Success!

Our first year was a HUGE success! Thanks to your partnership and efforts, we raised over $40,000! With those funds, we were able to outfit five classrooms with new smart TVs, and we are in the process of improving the cafeteria with shades and custom “Fairfield” wall art.

In 2021, we increased our goal to $50,000. With incredible support from our community and families, we were able to install a new playground outfitted with built-in shades to protect our children and teachers on those hot Louisiana days. This new playground has brought much joy to our students, and will continue to do so for many years to come.

New Year, New Vision!

 As we move into the new year, we are dreaming BIG for our children!  We all know our campus is in dire need of a space where all classes and families can gather for school events, as well as a place for our children to have physical education and recreation when the weather is unsuitable for outdoor play.  

The Foundation is working hard to create a plan to address these needs and hope to be able to reveal our vision with you soon!
